Sweet Treat Card

Hi everyone! Sandy here to share today's Tuesday Card Fold project. I wanted to share something that is easy to make with just some simple scoring and folding.

But first, today's tip..... Score Tape is a must have in your craft box. It is one of the best tapes to use for bags and boxes.

Christmas was so hectic around my home this year. I thought I was already until I realized that I didn't have a little something for the kiddos' teachers (the night before the last day of school before break this weekend, oops). So I decided to make a quick sweet-treat card for them.

How to make a Sweet- Treat Candy Card
Here is what you will need: trimmer, bone folder, ribbon, scissors, craft knife, cardstock 8 1/2x11, score tape, a finished card and candy

First you will score at 3cm, 6cm, 9cm and 12cm horizontally and then turn paper vertically and score at 3cm, flip and score other side at 3cm
Next, cut at score lines to 3cm vertical fold and then trim off to the first score line. Se…

Decorative Pillow

Hello, Friends... And Merry Christmas!  Today I want to show you a pillow I made for a family member.   But first, my tip:  It's Christmas!  Love one another.

Check List:
Pillow Insert - purchased at WalmartPillow Cover - purchased at WalmartFlourish - purchased in Silhouette storeFont - PreciousPrint-Cut-Iron-On - Square1

I purchased an 18" square pillow insert and cover, both from Walmart.  The cover was $7.99 (I think) and the pillow was around the same in cost.  I should have bought these items at Hobby Lobby.  They had a bigger selection and I could have used their 40% off coupon.
The swirl flourish was purchased in the Silhouette store for .50 cents.  I color-filled it in black.

"Garrett" text was created using the Precious font (found at dafont.com).

Flourish Swirl and Garrett text were first printed on Square1 Iron-on using my home printer.  It was then cut using the Silhouette.  Next, just iron-on to the pillow cover.

Insert pillow and done!

I hope you e…

Glitter embossing

Hey kids!  It's Cindy for the Scrapbook Blessings Club blog today and I've got a fun glitter embossing technique to share with you.

TiP:  Be sure and close your Versamark pad before applying the embossing powder.

Okay, grab the following supplies and let's get started :-)
Versamark pad
Embossing Tinsel (or you can use embossing pwd and glitter)
Heat tool
embossing folder
baby wipe

Steps:
1-open the embossing folder and generously apply Versamark to one side  (I used the raised side and got glitter coverage on the background of the embossed image)

2- put your cardstock inside the embossing folder and run it through your Cuttlebug

3- apply your embossing tinsel (this has glitter right in it)  or you can mix embossing powder with glitter about half and half ...should look like the photo below:
I started with a white piece of cardstock.  As you can see I missed a little spot with the Versamark...oops.
4- put excess embossing pwd back into the container.  Clean your embossing…

Welcome our Guest Designer Alicia

Congrats to Alicia for winning Challenge #7 with her wonderful card using the Letterpress Technique we have asked her to be our Guest Designer and share with us a little bit about herself and her favorite projects.

Hi My name Alicia O'Bryant and I am a craft addict.  I have crafted for as long as I can remember.  I have been a "professional" crafter for 25 years.  I started making jewelry in 1988 for gifts and within a year I was selling my wares.  Jewelry was my primary artistic interested for many years, but along came my son.  After losing my first child I was going to document every moment of this child's life.  Well, I have!  He will be 14 soon and still being an only child has his every wish within my means and his every event documented.  I have scrapped so many soccer pages, I don't know if I can do another!  I get a little tired of all the boy pages, so I often scrap my nieces.  I scrap mainly traditional, but I have a flair with digital as well.  I rec…

Christmas Scrap Tags

Hi friends!  Sandy here for ScrapBook Blessings Club to share with you Saturday's anything goes project. We will be using different techniques to make Christmas Tags today.

First, I have my tip of the day for you.... Gather up those scraps, they make excellent tags!

Onto today's project...
I have a couple tags to showcase that I did using scraps (nothing was bought new for these) and the different card techniques used for 12 days of Christmas Blog hop. I did 12 videos with 12 different cards.  You can check those out of step by step instructions. Right now, I will just show you how I used the same techniques to make my Christmas Tags for this year.
If you are a member of our Facebook Group then you got a sneak peak of these tags.  Plus our current challenge right now is TAGS, just create card or project but make sure it has a tag on it!!!
