Bloglovin

Happy first day of April!  I hope you had a blessed Easter!

So I am sure that you have heard in the "bloggy world" that Google is getting rid of our Followers/ Button and Google Reader....APRIL FOOLS!!!!   Just kidding, lol!!!!

This change will take place July 1st so we all must adjust.  I have looked at two major RSS servers, Bloglovin and Feedly.  Bloglovin was very easy to transfer over and to add widget, very user friendly.  Feedly was ehhh, lol.

So to make a long story short, you can find the follow me through Bloglovin button on the left sidebar.  I have to admit I kinda like how there isn't a "number" visible.  I think many people will feel like they don't have to get the "followers" and can focus on blogging about what makes them...well...them.  It makes gives us all an even playing field in this fish bowl, lol!

Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

Welcome to the "Easter" Blog Hop!
We're so happy you could join us today!

You should have arrived from Robin.  If you happened by my blog or are joining me from your dashboard, head over to Miranda's blog to start at the beginning.  We don't want you to miss any of the fun!

In addition to seeing a lot of awesome Easter creations, there is some blog candy available too.  Miranda will be giving away a Michael’s gift card.  To be eligible for the blog candy, you are required to visit each stop in the hop and leave a comment!  The winner will be announced Wednesday, March 27th on my blog!

For my Easter project, I decided do something simple.  With little ones running around; Easter Bunny, baskets and eggs are a big deal around here, along with celebrating the ressurection of Jesus.  So, I made a couple of egg holders with my oldest.

I started with my Gypsy and welded a rectangle( 1 x 5) for the base and an image to embellish.  I used George, Paper Dolls…

Friday Freebie- The Stamping Chef

For today, I did a little criss cross fold card using "Babydoll".  She is a freebie that you can find at The Stamping Chef shoppe HERE

Here is the front of the card when folded...

The border is my EK Success flower petal punch. (not just for flowers, lol)

Here is the inside...  This card is for my 4 yr old.  She is turning 5 in a couple of months and thinks she is the Prima Ballerina, lol.

I found that when you do this type of fold, double sided pattern paper works great!

Criss Cross Fold:

Start with a piece of 6x12 cardstockscore at 4" and 8" horizontallymeasure down 4" and mark ( or measure up 2" from bottom and mark, what is easier for you to remember)draw a line from the top 4" score mark to the bottom 4" mark and cutdo the same to the other side. (I did these measurement because I did a ton of invites, those will be posted soon)

Freebie Friday- The Stamping Chef

Can I get a oh yeah!!!  It is the weekend, and who doesn't love free?!  The Stamping Chef has a cute little buggie for free.  I have to admit though, this is the ONLY ant that I actually like.  I am a self confess ant killer!!!

Here is the card that I did for the freebie and no I didn't use the Cricut?!?!

I promise, I am not sick!  I just bought a cute tool at Michaels using my 50% off coupon last week,  It is a friskars cutting thingy. It comes with die cut plates/templates and a cutter.  I wanted something for my kiddos to used without touching my Cricuts.  The nice thing about them is the cutting tool is child proof.  Here is Link to check it out.  I think it is a great beginners tool!
