Tuesday - Digital Scrapbooking projects Part 2

Carolyn here sharing what I have been playing around with - digital scrapbooking and Easy Pocket Scrapbooking .
Easy Pocket Scrapbooking - easy to create your digital photos into what looks like pocket pages, pretty much like using plastic pages and inserting the actual photo into.  It's a way of saving photos on a flash-drive and than digitally create and not have a drawer/box full of photos as I do!
School House Cut File Easy Pocket Page Scrapbook (digital)  School House Cut File Embellishments from Pixel Scrapper Digital Scrapbooking  Back to School Apple Title from misskatecuttables (I believe) I used Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 for creating both scrapbook layouts; and have a file from MyMemories Suite and from Pixel Scrapper Digital Scrapbooking that are clear plastic pockets for easy pocket scrapbooking, in place of the actual pockets.  I placed the photos, elements and journal cards in my layout just like a actual plastic pocket layout, only digital.  Love it.  I do h…

Easy Pocket Scrapbook Part 1

Hi, Carolyn here with what I am calling Digital/Easy Pocket Scrapbooking Part 1; but this is a version of pocket scrap booking, done digitally...

This past June, as a final day of enjoying El Paso, Texas we went to the El Paso Zoo for a few hours and enjoyed the fun time, but not the heat.  I was sooo hot, it was unbearable but here is three layouts using clear plastic pockets from Pixel Scrapper Digital Scrapbooking and MyMemoriesSuite, or if you like the traditional way of scrapbooking, the plastic sleeves are available (I purchased mine thru

The giraffe in third layout is a clipart located in a Internet search and Fun Day at the Zoo and Zoo Fun titles from  as svg cut files.  (you group together and than print and cut in your Silhouette Cameo to create a sticker and apply it on the layout.

I hope your enjoyed today's project too. If you have a questions or suggestions, please leave it in the comments. Also, you can join up to our Facebo…

Thursday's Throwback project: Happy Halloween

Hi friends!  Sandy here for ScrapBook Blessings Club to share with you a favorite SBC Throwback Thursday project...
Here are some of the projects I did for Halloween in past years. I was addicted to my Cricut at the time, lol...

The first one is: The gift bag was made using the cut from Accent Essentials Cartridge and end caps feature for the handle from PlantinSchoolBook cartridge.

The banners were made using the PlantinSchoolBook cartridge, and ribbon. I punched two holes in each card and threaded the ribbon through the back. The pumpkins are 5 ovals cut to 3" and layered over lapping. I drew the faces on with a black sharpie marker. ************************************************* I just had to show these pumpkins off. I made these for my hubby when we were dating for his apartment. I bought the ceramic from the local ceramic shop. And using my scrap book chalks, I "colored" the piece and then used a couple coats of craft…

Monday's Card Kit Inspiration: We Love Fall

Hi everyone, Sandy here for our new Monday posts.

We will be featuring cards from the SBC mini card kits.
This is one of the cards that I did was using a simple card design for a quick card to do on the fly. A pennant card is one of the easiest especially when you use a cute pre-made die like the ones in the kit. MY CARD TIP: Keep a small note book or file with your favorite card designs to pick from when you sit down to create your cards.
Stop by the first of every month for a mini blog hop featuring the newest mini card kit, one person who comments will win their own card kit.
October's card kit winner is YOLIE.

It is perfect for all levels of scrapbookers! So whether you are a newbie or an experience scrapper, these kits has everything you'll need to create fast and easy projects. All you need to do is get out your scissors, paper trimmer and adhesive.

To purchase your card kit, you can click below to place you…

Jolly Santa Candle saying HoHoHo

Hi Carolyn here with a Christmas candle I created a year or so ago using a Ho Ho Ho file with Santa.

TIP:  take your time with the heat gun on this project - don't want to melt the wax candle too much. And makes a neat little decoration at Christmas time or for a gift.
A couple years ago, really can't remember when I created this for a design team project but I had viewed a youtube video on creating a candle with tissue paper.  I used white tissue and printed Santa and title and than got out the heat gun and applied the tissue paper to a white candle that I purchased at Wal-mart.  And wrapped a ribbon around the bottom of candle, and placed on a little clear plate for display at Christmas time.

Here is a video tutorial by Heidi Swapp showing the techniques for this project...

I hope your enjoyed today's project too. If you have a questions or suggestions, please leave it in the comments. Also, you can join up to our Facebook group: Scrapbook Blessings Club for…

Friday Cards ~ Diva Doll Tutorial

Hello Friends,

Annette here for the Scrapbook Blessings Club and I am featuring here today a wonderful creation which I found recently in the Cardmaking Magazine.
There are full instructions on how to make this Diva Doll but I have made mine with a twist.
This is the Doll which was featured by the Magazine and created by master sculptor Greg Sukendro :-
This is my interpretation where I utilized Greg Sukendro's Honeycomb Pattern plus the body pattern (but I have made some slight amendments to the patterns to suit my own Diva Doll):-
As you can seeI have created my Diva Doll with a Sherri Ann Baldy's My Besties Head only. The first Diva is Wedding Doll My Besties and the second Doll is Besties Digi Image No. IMG031 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Picture No. 1) ~ So to create I firstly choose my Image which I would like to use the Head only I then cut My Besties head choice out very neatly.(Picture No. 2) ~ Using my Copic Markers I color in the Face and Hair and at the same…
