DIY Cake Carrier

Hello, Friends!  Marilyn here with a DIY Cake Carrier project.  I've seen these cake carriers all over the Pinterest board.  It appears to me that they were all created using vinyl.  Vinyl definitely works, but I much prefer working with Square1 printable.

Here's what you'll need :

Portrait Scrapbook Layout Page

Hello and welcome to all my followers and crafty friends. Ange here today for SBC to share with you a single portrait layout that I made with a photo of one of our grandchildren.

MY TIP- When using a large single photograph, to make it the point of interest have a black background and limited embellishments. In this layout I did a flower cluster.

Tuesday - Cards @Scrapbook Blessings Club

Hi there friends in the crafting world, Carolyn here to share a couple Christmas cards I recently made...

But first the TIP:  Create your Christmas cards ahead of time, saves on the stress.

Christmas Village Church from here. The image was stamped on white card stock, and than die cut with a oval die.  Each scallop on the mat I applied Liquid Pearls and attached a ribbon on bottom.  Place it over a snow-flaked embossed mat and all attached to white card stock base. Sentiment from Stampin! Up Teeny Tiny Words.  Glitter glue applied to roof of the church; and I used Wink of Stella glitter pens to color in the stained glass window, plus the windows.  Door is also colored in with Wink of Stella glitter pen.
Photo download from a search on Internet that I printed out, and applied glitter/stickles to areas in photo that had glittered.  And created a easel card using my Silhouette Cameo.  I believe the photo was printed out and than cut out with my Brother's Scan 'n Cut m…

"Dies" Tutorial ~ SBC DT

Hello Friends !
Annette here for the Scrapbook Blessings Club  to share with you Monday's Project "Dies".
Firstly: My Tip Of The Day Before removing Die once it has been cut, with a large Pin,  push all of the perforated cut
pieces out of the Die before removing the actual Bow from the Die itself. I have found this process much easier rather than taking the Bow from the Die and trying to remove the little cut outs afterwards.

Now onto my Tutorial:

At this point I would just like to mention that these particular Dies are my most favourite of all Dies. I use these Dies on a constant regular basis, its very classy and adds loads of glamour to any projects.

The Dies I am using today are the Sue Wilson Bow Dies Finishing Touches ~ (Classic 3D Bow) and Finishing Touches ~ (Lattice 3D Bow) Using Kaisercraft Cardstock in two contrasting colours I have chosen the small and large Bow Dies from both designs as well as the little back Bow Tag and the small Bow Tie plus the boarder …

Digital Scrapbook page for Thursday Product Review

Good morning, Carolyn here with a product review.  I will have to confess - I thought I had signed up for Friday - Layouts this week and when I rechecked again, oops, Product Review.  So I will be reviewing the software I used to create the page layout..

TIP:  don't be afraid of learning how to use new editing software.

I used two different software in creating this:
Abode Photoshop Elements ver. 12Paint.net (free software)

Birthday Card - Using Tagxedo

Hello, Friends!  Marilyn here with a birthday card that incorporates some subway art.  I found a fun (free!!) and easy online application from Tagxedo.Com that lets you create your own subway art.

First, here's my finished birthday card:

See the Subway art in the center of the owl?

Here's how to do it:

Step 1:  Go to www.tagxedo.com
Step 2:  Select the orange "Create" button on left.

Step 3:  Select the Load Button on the left column.

Step 4:  Type the words that you would like to have included in your final subway art.  Enter the same word more than once and it'll appear larger that the rest.  When done, select Submit button on right.

Step 5:  Go to Theme and select a color choice.

Step 6:  Go to Orientation.  I chose H/V (horizontal and vertical) for mine.

Step 7:  Go to Shape.  I chose the circle.  This made all my words group together in a circle.  I could have chosen "Invert" which would have caused all the words to appear outside of a circle.
