Tutorials for this hop
SEPT. 22- MAKING ATC CARDS
SEPT. 24- MAKING FALL DP

Let's get started !!

Hi everyone, I have a fun and easy Fall Card tutorial for you today for the
MFP Stamp Shop Blog Hop.

Easy Leaf Card Background
 By Sandy Hentzel

Item needed:
Watercolor Paper
Flower Punch
Watercolor medium:
(I used Distress Markers)
Water
Water Brush/ Paint Brush
Fine Tip pen
Adhesive
(heat gun optional)

Step 1:
Using your markers, scribble color randomly all over the watercolor paper.
The messier, the better.

Step 2:
Blend all the colors together with water and your water brush.
This will look like a hot mess but once it is dried, it will look great!
(air dry before continuing or use your heat gun to dry faster)

Step 3:
With your flower punch, you want to punch out as many flowers as you think you will need.
I always punch a little extra to save for a later project.
(any flower punch can be used)

Step 4 and 5:
Cut the flowers into individual petals
and start to line the veins of the leaves with your fine point pen.

Step 6:
Glue down all your leaves on your card stock.
I normally don't use glue sticks, but for this technique;
I want to make sure all the leaves are covered with glue.
(so go raid your kiddos' art boxes!)

Step 7:
Start to decorate your card. For this card, I did a border with the cardstock and border punch. Then using fine detail embossing powder, I stamped and embossed my sentiment.

Extra Tip:
The embossing powder I have is fine detail for little letters but it is soooo white and this card is Fall colors. So I used my TH Distress Marker in Vintage Photo, and I colored over the letters to get a more cream color vs the bright white.

Finished Card:
Lastly, using the same markers, I applied the ink to the leaf stamp and fussy cut the leaf. I used TH Tea Dye ink and distressed the leaf so it wasn't so white.  As you can see below, this is my favorite Fall stamp set by MFP Stamp Shop.

Up next is Sue!
