So here is a quick tutorial I did using Gelatos. They are one of my favorite coloring mediums!

"Fingerpaint" Bookmarker
  by Sandy Hentzel

Supplies needed:
Gelatos or Gel Crayons
Washi tape
1 white watercolor paper base2x6
2 pieces of cardstock:
extra mat papers @ 2.25x6 and 2.50x6
water
hole punch
ribbon or fibers
Stamp (sets)
Momento Ink
and your finger!!!

1. Tear of a piece of washi tape and attach 1/3 way down paper,
then start laying down some color from GEL crayons or Gelatos.

2. Dip your finger in water and start to blend the gelato. If
paper gets too wet, just let it air dry or hit it with the heat gun
for a couple seconds.
When your finger starts to feel dry on the gelato, dip your
finger in water and start blending again... hence our adult
version of "Fingerpaints"!!!

3. Gently remove washi tape and add a new piece where you
just colored ( make sure it is dry first). Now you are ready
to color the middle of the paper.
I added a couple of different colors to blend together to make
it look like water and not the sky again. I placed the yellow in the
middle like a sunset.

4. After I finger painted the water, I thought it was still too close
to the sky color. So I placed a little of the blue and purple colors,
dipped my finger into the water and started to blend the colors
together. Gelatos/Gel Crayons are so easy to work with.

5. Now for the bottom of the book marker.  I used whatever yellows
and golds I can find. Scribble on the color and then using your finger
dipped in water, start blending the colors together

6. To make it look ragged and more of a beachy feel, I tore off a
couple of pieced of washi tape and placed them with the torn
side down.  Then I started blending the color up towards the
tape.

7. Picking out a few stamps, use the Momento Ink to stamp
the images. It shows up real nice on the Gelatos.

8. Lastly, punch a small hole at the top and thread a ribbon or
like I used, some fibers to make a tassle.

Up Next is Shirley
