Feb. 26- Egg and Silverware wrappers by Sandy
Welcome to Day 4 of our hop!
I am excited because today, I get to share my easy tutorial... Decorated egg and silver wear wrappers. So let's jump right in.
Egg and Silverware Wrappers
by Sandy Hentzel
Items you need:
Momento Tuxedo Black ink
color pencils or medium of your choice
First, stamp you image on card stock that is at lease 8 inches long (you can always trim down later). Second, measure up one inch from the bottom of your paper and draw a mark line.
Draw a line across each side to the end of the paper and then trim to the stamp image. After you do that, fussy cut the top of your image. It should look like the picture below.
Now you want to use your adhesive to both ends of your wrapper strip
and the attach to the opposite side.
Using your pencils or markers, color your image.
EGG WRAPPER #2
This is another option using your die cuts.
First, stamp your image on the white card stock, then choosing a metal die, tape it down using washi tape over the image.
Second, measure up one inch from the bottom of the paper just like below and how you did the first wrapper.
Next you are going to run your image 3/4 of the way through your die machine, you want to go right to your pencil lines.
( I had to fold my paper on the ends some because it was a little too long to go
through the machine, not a biggie.)
After you die cut the top of the image, you will run it through your paper trimmer, cutting from the edge of the paper to your die cut, just like below.
The fun part... COLOR!!!
Now another option to adhesive is to use washi tape
You can place a piece of tape along the whole back of the wrapper
Here is the final wrapper
To make a wrapper for you utensils, You will stamp your image, color and fussy cut it.
Using a small paper punch, punch two holes on either side to thread the ribbon through. You can also use an exacto knife and cut two slits on wither side.
Make sure your ribbon is behind your image.
Wrap around your silver wear and tie a bow in the back. Any smaller image will work with this kind of wrapper.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial
