Ok Peeps, I want to share with you different watercolor techniques and tools that I love to use. Watercoloring is very easy and very forgiving aka you can't really mess up, lol.
Ok, My #1 Watercolor Technique!!!
Stamp your image with Versamark and use Embossing powder to heat emboss. This will help you keep your watercolor "in the lines" and no spread out. That is what I did for this card.
~~~ used Tombow Markers in red & green and waterpen~~~
Now this card was NOT done recently but is my ALL TIME watercolor card.
I used brown Momento ink and used heat gun to make sure it was dry and not smear.   The clouds were so easy to do and the water just blended itself!  This was one of my first watercolor cards so see beginners can watercolor!
~~~ used Gansi Tambi WaterPaints and brushes~~~

For this card, I have a video already done showing the step by step on how I colored her. I have to say at least half of My Besties girls, I have watercolored.
 It is just that easy!
Here is the Video link:
~~~ Used Prima Watercolor Pencils and Water Pen~~~
Last but not least, here is a watercolor Bible Journal Page. IF you want to watercolor in your Bible, you have apply 2 coats of clear GESSO to the page first to seal it before you start with water. Once that dries, you are good to go!
Also after I watercolored AND it was dry, I went back with a Faber Castell Pitt Pen and retraced the image and words to make them darker.
~~~Used Gellatos and Tim Holtz Distress Markers with water pen and my fingers. Gellatos blend great with your fingers and water!~~~
So here are my hop projects showing different watercoloring:
Markers, Pencils, Paints, Gellatos
What do you like to watercolor with?
Hope you had fun and thanks for stopping by.
See you next month with another technique!
Now you’re off to visit with JODY.

Here’s the full line-up in case you get lost:

  6. All just beautiful cards. I really must try the stamping and then water coloring the image. Your water coloring turned out amazing.

  7. Very pretty cards. Thank you for sharing!

  8. Wonderful cards! I'm with you- embossing an image makes it so much easier to stay within the lines - plus, it looks so darned good!

  9. I've wondered how people stamp and color in their bibles without the pages getting all wrinkly. Thanks for explaining about the gesso. I never knew what that was for (one of many products I've purchased and then put on the shelf to stare at and wonder about!!). The gold embossing is lovely with that rose image. But your island card is my favorite for sure. That is so lovely. Thanks for sharing this month.

  10. I did not know you could do that with Gelatos! Must try! Thanks for showing me all these different techniques. They turned out so beautifully!

  11. What beautiful cards. You do such great work. I have Gellatos, but have never used them, so a great inspiration.

  12. I love all of your cards and Bible journaling page! Great job on all of them!

  13. Beautiful projects but that beach/island scene is just the best!
