Bookmarking your Pages | heART of Worship Sunday

Hi friends!!  It's Katie for heART of Worship Sunday with you!!
Today's video shares how I created some fun bookmarks for my Journaling Bible.

I think it's very important to keep "tabs" on where you have been in your Bible and it also makes for a fun look when the fabric is hanging out!

So today's video is a quick tip on how to create them!
Enjoy!!

Travelers Notebook - Sew Happy

0
Hi everyone! Cristina here to share with you my first entry to my Travelers Notebook. (Well one of them) I am working on my sons notebook today and wanted to share with you some moments I captured.
The story behind these pictures are that my son just started his Consumer Arts Program, and they are learning how to sew. One day he noticed he had ripped his pants and wanted to sew them (super cute moment) then the following week he asked if I would show him how to sew on my sewing machine. 💖 treasured moments.

February Technique Blog Hop- SO SKETCHY!

Hi everyone, today is our YEAR OF CARD TECHNIQUES BLOG HOP.  So for February, we are talking sketches. Card sketches are great to use when you are not quite sure what card design you want to do. You can find them all over online for free just by using your search engine.

If you want to start at them beginning, hop over to our hostess blog: Theresa at Scraps by Gracie. There will be a prize if you comment and subscribe to the blog in this hop.

Our blog hop inspiration card sketch on the one on the right and the cards that I complete are below....

1) I used premade die cuts for this party card. After I placed the images where I wanted them following the sketch, I used a Black felt tip pen and outline the images in the black, adding thicker lines to one side for more dimension. This is a great technique to have your images pop from the paper.

 2) I used an embossing plate to give this card a little more dimension. This is great when you are using plain or shimmer card stock like I did. I also used premade 3d stickers for cards and 3 different washi tapes that I put on white cardstock for my banner. The sentiment, I wrote.

 4) This card is the one where I turned the sketch onto its side and did a vertical banner. The image is Newton's Nook Woodland Duos that I colored with my Spectrum Noir Illustrators and I fussy cut the heart shape around the image.

4) For my last card, I did the same sketch but this time, I did a clean and simple card with a hand drawn border. I felt the card needed the border to bring it together with the image.
The cute foxes are from the Woodland Dues Stamps set also.

So as you can see, the cards are not exactly the same as the sketch using flowers like you saw, But I used the sketch for inspiration on the placement of my images.

Hope you are enjoying the hop!
Now there is a prize for this hop sponsored by Claudia

How To Make a Pocket Letter

0
Hi crafters, Maranda here! If you follow my blog, you may remember I had an entry about Pocket Letters not too long ago (which I will link to HERE). However, that blog entry was more of an introduction to Pocket Letters, where they originated, what they are, and what to put in them. Since that time, I have received some requests to put out a Pocket Letter process video - showing step-by-step how to make a Pocket Letter. That is what today's video is all about! Also, visit my blog for a list of supplies you will need.

You will find my easy-to-follow video below. I hope this is helpful. Happy crafting! :)

We hope your enjoyed today's project. If you have a questions or suggestions, please leave it in the comments. "Love" | heART of Worship Bible Journaling

0
Happy Sunday! It's Maranda with Multiplicity Crafts! For today's Bible art journaling entry, I am going with the theme of love. The scripture I chose in 1st Corinthians 13 was actually the one that was read at our wedding - so it has a special meaning to me. Verses 4-7 state: "Charity [love] suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things."

Remember, it's best if you prime your page using a clear Gesso before beginning. I like to coat the front and back of the page so the paper won't curl up on the edges. Once the Gesso is dry, you're ready to begin creating. I have all of the supplies you'll need linked over at my blog HERE. Please enjoy today's video posted below!
